We have one week to go before our April break. As a reminder, our schools and offices will be closed the week of April 12th. We recognize that families may be choosing to travel during this time. As a school, we are not encouraging travel. Our students are not vaccinated, even as the number of vaccinated adults is increasing. Though New Hampshire domestic travel restrictions have been lifted, the CDC does not recommend non-essential travel for people who are not fully vaccinated. We have worked incredibly hard to keep our buildings open for in-person learning with a remote option, and we are getting very close to the end of the year. Please try to stay the course as much as possible and be conservative in your travel, play dates, and gatherings with our unvaccinated students. Mask wearing, physical distancing, and hand hygiene continue to be important, both in and out of school. Summer is around the corner. We're almost there, and it has been a community effort. We are grateful for your support and continued vigilance.
As a reminder, here is a copy of the Specials rotation schedule for the rest of the school year.
If you need to set up an account to pay for your student’s meals, please use this link for MealTime. You can find your student’s ID# in the top right hand corner of their screen in your parent portal account.
Please use this link to place breakfast and lunch orders for next week. Orders must be placed by 4pm on Sunday for the upcoming week.
If you are having trouble with your MealTime account or have a question regarding the Cafe, please contact Chris Cantlin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NH Statewide Assessment System (NHSAS) Testing Schedule
Please mark your calendars if you have students in grades 3, 4, or 5.
- Fifth Grade: Weeks of April 19 & 26
- Third Grade: Weeks of May 10 & 17
- Fourth Grade: Weeks of May 24 & May 31
Here is a link to the NHDOE Assessment Notification Letter. More information about specific testing times for classes will be communicated by teachers in upcoming weekly newsletters. For our remote learners, testing will occur during the same weeks and will occur in-person per the NHDOE. More information will be sent specifically to remote families on Monday.
Updates from the Health Office
We have all done a lot of hard work this year to be able to attend in-person school along with our three remote classrooms. We thank each of you for engaging in practices that keep our community safe. The availability of vaccines and the speed with which they have been rolled out give us optimism for the future. At this time we must remain diligent about our practices of mask wearing, physical distancing, hand washing and staying home when we are sick. We continue our protocols at school and remind you to keep your children home when they are sick. If your child develops symptoms on the COVID list, especially fever, cough, sore throat and loss of taste or smell, please contact your student's pediatrician about COVID testing. When testing is done, we require results from a COVID-19 PCR Test, not a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test. Please reach out to Laura Perras (email@example.com) with any questions.
Registration is open for students to attend kindergarten in the fall. Here is a link to the letter to help explain registration this year. Please contact the school registrar, Gwyn Dessert, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
2021/22 Ray School Enrollment
You should have already received the form to let us know if your student(s) will be returning to the Ray School next year. We do realize that some people may be unsure of their plans for the fall, but this is very helpful as we start to plan for staffing and placement. Here is a link to the form if you haven’t already received it.
