Dear Families,

“Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country's cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause.”   Abraham Lincoln

Veterans Day is a day meant to recognize veterans’ commitment to freedom. While Veterans Day is on Sunday this year, our school will also be closed on Monday in observance of Veterans Day. The Ray School is grateful to veterans for their service, and we hope you are able to take time to think about those who served our country as you spend time with your loved ones.

The Ray School is a family made up of individuals focused on a common cause, the education of our children. This week, it was a pleasure to have you join us for conferences to discuss your hopes for this school year.  We thank you for the being a part of the Ray family.

Enjoy this three day weekend.

Picture Retakes

LifeTouch will be back on Monday, November 19th if your child was absent for the original picture day or if you would like your child to get a retake. If you have already received your picture package and want retakes, you will need to return the original package to the photographer on the 19th.

Grade 4 Dartmouth Women's Basketball Day

On Wednesday, December 5th, grade 4 students have been invited to attend a Dartmouth Women's Basketball day! Designed for 3rd through 6th graders, this event highlights Dartmouth coaches, student-athletes and staff members. They will be talking to the students about topics like leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, nutrition and physical activity. The students will also be able to stay afterwards to attend part of a Dartmouth women's basketball game! Please sign and return the permission slips to your grade 4 teachers by November 28th. A huge thank you to the PTO for funding this opportunity. Please email Mr. Condon at steve.condon@rayschool.org with any questions or concerns.

Morning Arrival: Thank you!

We are amazed by your effort this week to get students to school on time. Take a look at this graph to see the drastic improvement. This week, we saw an average of 8 late arrivals each day, much better than previous weeks. Let’s keep it up, and even do better! There is a noticeable positive difference in the drop-off loop, office, and classrooms when students are arriving on time. Thank you!
