RAY SCHOOL
From Ray Cafe
It is time once again to check your child’s lunch account
balance. He/she should be bringing home reminders if a balance is
due. Take a look through backpacks on a regular basis as we get
closer to the end of the school year. Payment can be made by attaching
a check, made out to the Hanover School District, to a deposit form
that can be found outside the Ray Cafe and dropping it in the drop box
provided.

More on Ticks
PREVENTION - How can you can protect yourself and your children from
getting ticks?
-Avoid tick infested areas
-Wear light colored clothes
-Wear long pants that can be tucked in to boots or
socks along with long sleeved shirts.
Taping the area where pants and
socks meet helps prevent ticks from crawling
under clothing.
-Wash and dry clothing at a high temperature to kill
any ticks that may remain on
clothing.
-Use an insect repellent containing 20% to 50% DEET
on clothing and exposed skin.
FOLLOW manufacturer’s instructions when using any repellents.
-Perform tick checks after being outdoors.
-Monitor your health closely after a tick bite and
be alert for signs and symptoms of
illness. Contact your physician for
recommendations on testing and treatment.
Bicycle Safety
Here’s a really good web site for bicycle safety.
http://www.bikelib.org/video/ Check it out and don’t forget those
helmets. Helmets should be worn every time you or your child gets
on a bike. The helmet should be well fitted and fastened securely
under the chin.
